Bellingen River Festival

a unique community celebration, and it’s back for 2014

We’ve been working away at this year’s celebration and with so many great things to celebrate about this beautiful community, the River Festival on Saturday 1 November 2014 will showcase so many creative elements throughout the day and into the night.

Think of  live concert performances from key regional artists; workshops  in dance, bamboo, environmental regeneration and artistic creations;  exhibitions; storytelling; traditional games and the many children’s activities.

And don’t forget the highlight of the Bellingen Community Parade @ 7:00pm.

Keep an eye out, for details about some artistic workshops held in the lead up to the event.

Also the Bellinger River itself offers to many a great way to enjoy an afternoon. And there are various ways to get involved throughout the day, or spend a little time to learn about what each of us can do to support a healthy river system- with many great opportunities to strengthen awareness or join and volunteer a small amount of time to give back to this diverse and abundant region.

Engage or volunteer with some of the great community associations that take this opportunity to promote what they do and offer to their members (young and old) and to the community. Volunteers and value that couldn’t be measured with endless contributions to the Bellingen Shire from so many fantastic community associations. “Many hands make light work… “
